This is not medical advice
Scoop Sense is an independent research and information site. Nothing here is medical advice, and nothing here should be used to diagnose or treat any condition. When we describe an ingredient, we describe how it has been studied in relation to normal body function — nothing more.
General caffeine guidance
Many pre-workouts contain 150–350 mg of caffeine per serving. For reference, the FDA has cited around 400 mg per day as an amount not generally associated with negative effects in healthy adults. Coffee, tea, and energy drinks count toward that total too.
Individual tolerance
Caffeine sensitivity varies widely from person to person — body size, sleep, genetics, and daily habits all change how the same serving lands. If you are trying a new product, starting with a partial serving is a common way to gauge your own response before using the full labeled amount.
Medication and medical conditions
Talk to a physician before starting any supplement — pre-workout, creatine, protein, amino, or electrolyte products included — if you have a medical condition or take any medication. Stimulants, high sodium loads, and other active ingredients can interact with both. Sports supplements are generally formulated for healthy adults; they are not intended for anyone under 18.
Pregnancy and nursing
If you are pregnant or nursing, consult your physician before using any pre-workout or other supplement. Most manufacturers advise against use during pregnancy or while nursing — check the warning section of the label.
Always check the current label
Supplement formulas change without warning. The doses, caffeine figures, and ingredient lists on this site come from manufacturer labels at the time we logged them and may lag behind the tub on the shelf. The label on the product you buy is always the final word — read it, including the allergen and warning sections, before every purchase.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep our numbers right, and we correct mistakes when we find them. If you spot an outdated figure, email deandabomb007@gmail.com and we'll fix it.
