About Scoop Sense
Last updated: July 2026
Scoop Sense is an independent supplement label database covering pre-workouts, creatine, protein powders, EAA/BCAA formulas, and electrolyte mixes. Every entry starts from the manufacturer's own supplement facts panel: caffeine per serving, key ingredient doses, serving counts, and whether the label discloses individual amounts or hides them inside a proprietary blend. Doses are compared against the amounts used in published research, and cautions are stated plainly on every entry.
No supplement brand owns, sponsors, or edits this site. How we evaluate labels describes the method in detail.
How the site makes money
Some links on Scoop Sense are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.
When you see a link like "View current price," it carries a tracking tag. If you make a purchase after clicking it, we earn a percentage of the sale from the retailer — not from you. This is the only way the site makes money. We don't run ads, sell your data, or charge for anything.
What commissions never buy
- Placement — no brand can pay to be listed, featured, or ranked.
- Silence — cautions and label criticisms stay up whether or not a product earns us commission.
- Spin — the doses and caffeine numbers come from the label, and we report them the same way for every product.
Reviews, and why we don't write them
Scoop Sense does not collect reviews, does not score products out of five, and will never publish a review it wrote itself. A site that earns commission on the products it rates has no business handing out its own star ratings.
What we do instead is show you the two things you would otherwise go looking for, in one place and clearly labelled:
- The seller's own rating — the figure printed on the brand's storefront, copied exactly, dated, and linked. Remember what it is: a number collected and moderated by the company selling the product. We show it because you would check it anyway, not because it is independent.
- What people actually report — a plain summary of independent discussion on Reddit and public forums, with the threads linked and short quotes taken word for word so you can read the context yourself. We include the complaints. If the consensus is that something tastes bad, mixes badly, or is not worth the money, that is what the summary says.
Two things you will not find here. We do not display Amazon ratings or review counts — Amazon's terms for affiliates do not permit republishing that data, and we link to Amazon as an affiliate. And we do not count brand testimonials, sponsored posts, or affiliate-review blogs as community opinion, because they are advertising with a friendlier voice.
Where we could not find a real rating or genuine discussion, the page says so and shows nothing. An empty space is honest; a manufactured consensus is not.
None of it is evidence that a product works. Ratings and forum posts describe what people experienced and expected. The dose comparison further up each product page is the part grounded in published research.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate, Scoop Sense earns from qualifying purchases.
Prices and availability shown on Amazon are accurate as of the time you visit Amazon; we deliberately do not display prices here because they change constantly.
Other affiliate programs
Amazon is not the only place a product link can send you. Where a brand runs its own affiliate programme, or takes part in a network such as Impact, Awin, CJ Affiliate or Rakuten Advertising, a link may go to that brand's own store instead. Some brands sell mainly direct, and their Amazon listings are sometimes third-party resellers rather than the brand itself — in those cases the brand's own store is the better place to send you regardless of what it pays.
Commission rates differ between programmes, and brand-direct rates are usually higher than Amazon's. That is worth stating plainly, because it is exactly the kind of incentive you should be suspicious of. It changes nothing about what this site says: the doses, caffeine figures and cautions come off the label and are reported the same way for every product, whether that product earns us a little, a lot, or nothing at all. Every product link is marked as an affiliate link, and every product page names the retailer its own link goes to before you click it.
Whatever the destination, the price is never shown here — you always see the live price on the retailer's own page.
Why we tell you this
Two reasons. The Federal Trade Commission requires sites like ours to disclose affiliate relationships clearly and close to the links themselves — which is why you'll see a short disclosure line on pages with product links, not just here. And more simply: you should never have to wonder how the site you're reading gets paid.

Spotted an error? Labels reformulate constantly and we would rather be corrected than stay wrong. If a caffeine figure, dose, serving count, or any other number on this site no longer matches the current manufacturer label, email us with the product name and a link or photo of the label. Verified corrections are applied to the entry and its "label verified" date is updated.
